About Us

Diabetes Welfare Society is a not-for-profit initiative formed with the vision of reducing the growing burden of diabetes in our society. With millions of people affected by diabetes and related metabolic disorders, there is a pressing need for greater awareness, early detection, and holistic patient care.

We at Diabetes Welfare Society firmly believe that awareness is the first step towards prevention and better management. By bringing together healthcare professionals, physicians, endocrinologists, dieticians, and community members, we aim to build a strong network that can educate, support, and guide patients at every stage of their journey.

Our activities go beyond awareness alone — we organize free medical camps where patients can undergo screening for diabetes, thyroid, blood pressure, and related conditions. These camps also serve as a platform for counseling, lifestyle modification guidance, and connecting patients with specialists when needed.

In addition, we conduct public lectures, workshops, and educational campaigns to spread knowledge about diet, exercise, stress management, and the importance of regular health check-ups. For patients already living with diabetes, we provide ongoing support in the form of resources, counselling, and patient education, helping them lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

A key highlight of our academic initiatives is the Annual National Conference – Diabetes, Thyroid & Endocrine Conference (DTECON). This flagship event brings together leading experts from across the country to share the latest advances, research, and clinical practices in the fields of diabetes, thyroid, and endocrinology. DTECON has grown into a respected platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Dr. S. K. Sharma serves as the President of Diabetes Welfare Society, leading the mission to raise awareness, improve care, and inspire healthier living against the growing challenge of diabetes.
